Steak 48 makes it an absolute point to only offer the best. As a sister restaurant of Maestro’s, the name Steak 48 is a nod to their very first restaurant opening in Arizona which is the 48th state. A hometown favorite, one thing Fleming’s is known for is a good steak. I would suggest the El Segundo location, it’s out the way, no traffic, just a perfect little valet situation to get the night started. Their philosophy is all about “approachable, relaxed luxury”, making this the type of place you can roll up to in expensive sweats or eat at the whim after a night out on the town. The Tomahawk steak is the biggest thing on the menu, sitting at a whopping 35oz. It can’t get much better than that.

The property that was most recently Banditos Tacos & Tequila and The Menlo Club before that ,holds cultural importance and history for being a place where community members could gathered for food and live music. Anat Escher of Martin Dream, LLC. And architects at KSK Design Inc. proposed a 5,100 square feet six-story, 32 one bedroom design featuring a rooftop restaurant space to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning. The project aligns with the broader plan for Echo Park to revitalize and create a more sustainable, interconnected neighborhoods. With LA’s focus on expanding metro rail connections throughout the city we’ll continue to see an increase in mixed use developments in more melanated or “urban” areas to create convenient housing and help raise property value. The real question is will it remain affordable to those who are native to the area?

This highlights one of the challenges law enforcement has faced with the public having access to information that can potentially be abused in today’s digital age. It also emphasizes the ongoing debate regarding police reform and accountability with the California Public Records Act. The City Attorney’s Office has yet to reply but I’m interested in knowing how accessible class citizens’ information is and how often our privacy is being violated and exposed.
