The LA Reporter | Sep 22nd
Good morning. The message of the week is BLESSINGS. We all have them & we have a lot of them. I’d ask you if you’re watching yours closely? I’ve gone through a phase recently where I’ve found myself looking at others blessings instead of focusing on the ones that god has given me. I’d question— How the f*ck did XYZ get invited on that podcast & not me? Why the hell aren’t I getting invited to XYZ event?! I found myself puzzled & confused… but most importantly I found myself losing the ability to ATTACK.
I even found my dreams & visions to be less clear. In turn I became less confident & most importantly I was HELLA ungrateful. I had to stop & reflect. Everything I BEGGED God for he gave me— yet I was so focused on the stress that it came with. So this week. I want you to focus on your blessings. Ignore everything else. Be abundant & watch your blessings closely.
WELCOME TO LOS ANGELES
Listen… there are two sides to Los Angeles. There’s the side that the transplants come to enjoy & take advantage of (which is fine) Then there’s LA, Like LA LA. The REAL LA. The LA that we natives grew up in. Today we’re talking about that LA & in honor of that. We’ve put together a list of the best places to get a Hood Breakfast in LA. Check them out below.
M’Dears - If you know about Mama’s then you know they have the some of the best-tasting links in the city. Those Chicken links? FIRE. Those Turkey links? FIRE. It’s been a staple in LA for more than 50 years & it had to make our list. When you go get those mild chicken sausage links & you won’t be disappointed.

Wii Jammin - Now for my natives … This might throw you for a twist but yes. Wi Jammin is a top spot for a nice breakfast in Los Angeles. If I’m being completely honest it’s one of the more slept-on spots in the city as far as breakfast is concerned. The Jammin Simple breakfast is a go-to for many people. The eggs are damn near perfect, nice big slices of bacon & their breakfast potatoes are slapping too.
Address: 5103 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019
The Griddle Cafe - They used to be where Yashmiro is now, but they’ve since moved. Despite that, the taste is still the same. One of the best hood-style breakfast spots you’ll get when you come to LA. My favorite thing about them is they aren’t afraid to put some food on that plate. They have HUGE pancakes & are going to make sure you leave completely satisfied. Prepare to leave with leftovers. When you go you have to get the pancakes, the potatoes are really good as well.
Address: 7916 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90046

SOMEONE YOU SHOULD KNOW
The Hood Genius That Is Glasses Malone
If the street lights in the hoods of Los Angeles had eyes we would have so many more geniuses on display. It’s undeniable that people from Los Angeles, especially the inner-city are some of the most interesting & spectacular people in the world. That’s not being biased, that’s me telling the absolute truth.
Today I want to introduce you to one of the most Intelligent people to come out of our beautiful city – Glasses Malone. One Of LA’s most polarizing & disruptive artists. One thing I love about glasses is that he’s one of those guys who hears what he can’t hear & sees what he can’t see. In other words, his perspective is just different. He’s always taking an angle that most won’t, usually causing an uproar in the process. Then somehow bringing you back to his side.
