Almost 200,000 Acres scorched By Southern California Wildfires
A devastating wave of wildfires swept through the Los Angeles area on Tuesday, fueled by strong winds and dry conditions. The ferocious blazes destroyed hundreds of homes, claimed at least six lives, and left many more injured.
The fires, including the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, and Lidia, prompted evacuation orders for nearly 180,000 people in Los Angeles County, according to Sheriff Robert Luna. An additional 200,000 residents were under evacuation warnings, with over 100,000 people already evacuated and another 100,000 in danger zones told to be prepared to leave.
