Boeing Cuts 115 Jobs in Long Beach, over 500 In California Total

Boeing, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, has laid off over 500 employees in California, with 115 of those cuts occurring in Long Beach, as per state layoff records.⁠

The company had previously announced plans to decrease its workforce by 10% over the next few months, attributing the decision to financial and regulatory challenges alongside a nearly two-month-long machinists’ strike.⁠

However, CEO Kelly Ortberg has clarified that the layoffs are not a direct result of the strike but rather due to overstaffing.

I ordered the Short Rib Enchilada, and let me tell you, it was FIRE! The flavors were on point, and the service was the best
