The Oscars will move from the Dolby Theatre to L.A. Live’s Peacock Theatre in downtown Los Angeles in 2029, coinciding with a shift to YouTube. The Academy has signed a deal with AEG to hold the ceremony there through at least 2039. The new venue will offer a centralized location with increased capacity for the ceremony and related events.
