UPDATE: LAX Board Approves Rideshare Hike for Lyft, Uber, and More

LAX board approved a fee hike for private transportation companies, including Uber, Lyft, taxis, and limousines, picking up and dropping off passengers at the airport.

Eviction Threshold Set to Raise to 2 Months

Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to amend the Rent Stabilization and Tenant Protections Ordinance, delaying eviction proceedings for renters in unincorporated districts until they are at least two months behind on rent. The new rules, effective in 30 days, aim to provide renters with financial relief while acknowledging the challenges faced by landlords. The ordinance will become law in mid-April 2026.

City Approves High Rise Project in MacArthur Park

Earlier this month, the City of Los Angeles approved plans from the Walter J. Company and Metro to build a mixed-use development above the Westlake/MacArthur Park subway station. Centro Westlake would encompass a nearly 150,000-square-foot site bounded by Wilshire Boulevard, Alvarado Street, Westlake Avenue, and 7th Street.
